Elizabeth - Pen

Since I've begun inking over scanned and blue printed pencil work, a couple months back, I've been playing around experimenting different solutions for the same images. In this piece I've inked the Elizabeth sketch, a couple posts back, using only a .3 tech pen.

Van Halen Fan

I think all that SIP (Strangers in Paradise) reading has left me with some side effects. I can detect some Terry Moore's influences in a few lines.

Elizabeth

I've been in weird mood lately and decided to listen to some music clips on youtube. By chance, I've found a band that inspired me to sketch again: halestorm. This is the first of a few sketches I'm doing of the band.

Vincent's parents

The couple in this sketch are the parents of the baby boy I drew a couple months back, Vincent. David was my boss at LACTEC and I'm looking forward to be able to work with him again.

Amber - Hooded angel

Last week tombs sent me an early birthday present: a few pictures of Amber. I took the opportunity to make another sketch of her.

Amber watercolor

I've never been good, or even badly competent, in painting, but from time to time I still try some experiments. These one I tried to do when Amber was born, a few years ago. Never actually posted before 'cause my old, trusty, HP SCSI scanjet 4C broke down and I did not have a decent scanner. That and the fact that I suck at painting.

Watercolor on an A4 watercolor paper.

Pencil Sketch - Bill Adama

These one has been laying around the floor for the past few years. Since I've got no intention of ever finishing I declared it done and I'm posting it the way it is, as crude and uninteresting as it is.

Forest Whitaker - Criminal Minds

I've actually never watched the show, since I no longer have cable TV, but after finding out Forest Whitaker would star in the Criminal Minds spin-off I just had to google and find some good ref pics.

It is still a work in progress...

Another one of Nei

I just could not resist doing a whole bunch of sketches after I saw Nei Ruffino's stock photos. Here goes another one.

F

This one was lost in a pile somewhere in my apartment. I found it in a time in which the subject was a source of sorrow to me but I just had to ink it.

Vincent

Every time I went for coffee the picture of Vincent, my boss's son, was there, staring at me. It was just David's wallpaper but it bugged me enough so that I did this sketch. I hope the boss likes it.

The Schreibers

Patriarca.. again

Have been too tired to have a decent grip on the brush. I've aged her a couple of decades but at least it is done - or I just gave up on it... just can't decide which..

Patriarca set's the pace for the coworkers series

I've stated working at a great commpany a couple months back. The only problem is that I've being working around the clock, did not having enough time for pretending to be a social person.

So, at dawn instead of sleeping I, began making sketches of few coworkers in a really weak attempt not to loose my sanity only thinking only about syntax, semantics, business logic and relational integrity.

To begin the series I chose Aline Correa Patriarca - I hope I got her name right.

Inking exercises - Inking the masters

I wasn't being very productive at programming lately so I decided to ink something. As I had nothing penciled I just grabbed a few sketches from Scott McDaniel and George Perez.

Zatana. George Perez. Inked as he would do it: with a 0.2 technical pen.

Green Arrow. Scott McDaniel. Condor #4 brush.

Nightwing. Scott McDaniel. Condor #4 brush.

Guy Gardner. Scott McDaniel. Condor #4 brush.

Melvin Frohike - experimenting with ink washes

As I was trying to take my head of programming for a short while I decided to draw a sketch of one of my favorite X-Files characters, Melvin Frohike, and experiment with some ink washes. As it turns out, layout paper is not that good for ink washes :'(

Ellen Page - Ganço's commission

My good friend ganço asked me to draw this picture of Ellen Page. It still a work in progress. I hope he likes it.

V Crow quill

As the pincils of this skech were not as good I was expecting I decided to experiment with my good, old, crow quill. Promise to myself: I'll learn how to use it properly..

Vanesa

This is a piece I promised a good friend some seven years ago.

Telematic Society #0 - Cover Sketch

While waiting for a painted cover for Telematic Society #0 I've done this sketch. It is a montage of the main characters of the first story arc: Isabela, Ormilo and the Mayor.

Another Quickie -- Nei Rufino... again

As I'm spending more time writing than actually drawing I've decided to do a few quick A3 drawings in order to keep practicing.

This is another one of Nei Ruffino.

Chasing Amy

Chasing Amy is one of the best movies about love that I've ever seen. It's not an romantic comedy, it is not even a true romance as it portrays real relationships and the mistakes that start them and that put an end to them.

Here is another sketch. As the other Chasing Amy sketch, the original for this one is now proudly owned by Guilherme Silveira.

Just posting something..

It's been a few months since I posted anything in here so I decided to shuffle my "deniable" pile of old sketches. This sketch lacks depth, texture and even a overall unity. But, as my policy for 2008, it is done and shall be posted if nothing else is eligible.

Kira Nightly as Guinevere.
