Van Halen fan - gray markers

I've been trying to play with diferent shading techniques over the past couple of months so I decided to rework this sketch using markers.

This one has been in the works for a few weeks. I did the last of the hatching during the 1st day of this year over breakfeast and decided to call the quits. I was getting to the point where, even though the piece was far from finished, every line I was making was just screwing up the piece. Maybe some day, and probably that day will never come,I'll continue to work in it ...

Elizabeth - Pen

Since I've begun inking over scanned and blue printed pencil work, a couple months back, I've been playing around experimenting different solutions for the same images. In this piece I've inked the Elizabeth sketch, a couple posts back, using only a .3 tech pen.

I think all that SIP (Strangers in Paradise) reading has left me with some side effects. I can detect some Terry Moore's influences in a few lines.

I've been in weird mood lately and decided to listen to some music clips on youtube. By chance, I've found a band that inspired me to sketch again: halestorm. This is the first of a few sketches I'm doing of the band.

Vincent's parents

The couple in this sketch are the parents of the baby boy I drew a couple months back, Vincent. David was my boss at LACTEC and I'm looking forward to be able to work with him again.

Amber - Hooded angel

Last week tombs sent me an early birthday present: a few pictures of Amber. I took the opportunity to make another sketch of her.

I've never been good, or even badly competent, in painting, but from time to time I still try some experiments. These one I tried to do when Amber was born, a few years ago. Never actually posted before 'cause my old, trusty, HP SCSI scanjet 4C broke down and I did not have a decent scanner. That and the fact that I suck at painting.

These one has been laying around the floor for the past few years. Since I've got no intention of ever finishing I declared it done and I'm posting it the way it is, as crude and uninteresting as it is.

I've actually never watched the show, since I no longer have cable TV, but after finding out Forest Whitaker would star in the Criminal Minds spin-off I just had to google and find some good ref pics.

This one was lost in a pile somewhere in my apartment. I found it in a time in which the subject was a source of sorrow to me but I just had to ink it.

Vincent

Every time I went for coffee the picture of Vincent, my boss's son, was there, staring at me. It was just David's wallpaper but it bugged me enough so that I did this sketch. I hope the boss likes it.

Patriarca.. again

Have been too tired to have a decent grip on the brush. I've aged her a couple of decades but at least it is done - or I just gave up on it... just can't decide which..

Patriarca set's the pace for the coworkers series

I've stated working at a great commpany a couple months back. The only problem is that I've being working around the clock, did not having enough time for pretending to be a social person.

So, at dawn instead of sleeping I, began making sketches of few coworkers in a really weak attempt not to loose my sanity only thinking only about syntax, semantics, business logic and relational integrity.

To begin the series I chose Aline Correa Patriarca - I hope I got her name right.

Melvin Frohike - experimenting with ink washes

As I was trying to take my head of programming for a short while I decided to draw a sketch of one of my favorite X-Files characters, Melvin Frohike, and experiment with some ink washes. As it turns out, layout paper is not that good for ink washes :'(
