Since I'm digging out some old drawings here goes a few sketches form the X2 (x-men 2 - the movie).

Still needs a lot of work, especially on line widths and some textures but it getting somewhere.

And I've kept them laying around the house for all this time. So, posting old stuff again.

Another awful experiment

I've being trying out some different materials and techniques. In this piece I left aside my good, old, trusty #0 brush and decided to go with a #10. I had no control of line thickness nor it's aspect, as it can be seen. It had it's value as an exercise even though the final image looks pretty awful. Well, thinking about it, if the penciling wasn't awful in the first place I would not dare to experiment with it so.. It was probably doomed from the start.

If I just could unink this one..

.. it would not be enought to save it. Even though it is crappy I'm posting it so I will have a reminder of how bad my Inking, as well as my penciling, can get.

Mother's day

I appologise for the appropriation of this image but it is the one that comes to my mind when the subject is motherhood. Engaged in nusuring but at the same time satisfied in the relaxed and confortable knowledge that, at least for now, everything is ok.

A first version of a wallpaper

I've being trying to develop a good relationship with my Wacom tablet and the Gimp. I'm using a few custom scripts to automate tedious tasks such as preparing the artwork after scanning and filling out colored areas from selection in another layer.

New versions should follow soon.

And another unfinished sketch.

I'm thinking about starting all over again with this one but I'm waiting to see the results after introducing some textures.

I've done some more sketches..

Being busy developing a good relasionship with my ink and brushes. It seems I'm getting a little better and, best of all, with a nice cheap brush (tigre #0)
